Dr. Aimie-Lee Juteau, C.Psych.
Psychologist
Hi!
I’m Dr. Aimie-Lee Juteau, a child, adolescent, and family psychologist at the Child, Adolescent, and Family Centre of Ottawa (CAFCO).
I provide psychological assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, and families in both French and English. I offer individual and group therapy, parent consultation, and family therapy. I work with individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), depression, self-esteem difficulties, emotion regulation challenges, behavioural concerns, and parenting-related difficulties.
My approach is integrative and strengths-based, drawing from evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (E/RP), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). Viewing each individual as the expert of their own experience, I emphasize collaboration and the integration of each person’s unique circumstances to support clients in exploring their challenges and moving toward healing and growth. I strive to create a safe, inclusive, and compassionate environment grounded in warmth, acceptance, authenticity, and respect.
I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Ottawa, with a concentration in child and family services, and previously gained clinical experience in both hospital and community mental health settings. I am currently registered with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario and the Ordre des psychologues du Québec. In addition to my clinical work, I am a part-time professor at University of Ottawa and provide supervision to Ph.D. students in Clinical Psychology.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, watching movies and TV shows, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.
