Anti-Racism Statement

Our Commitment to Equity and Inclusion.

CAFCO recognizes the trauma experienced by so many within the Black and Indigenous communities and other marginalized groups in our society, and stands in full support of these communities. We strongly denounce all forms of racism, discrimination, and hatred, recognizing the profound psychological and emotional harm they cause.

Silence in the face of injustice is not acceptable. We are committed to standing with individuals and communities to acknowledge harm, foster healing, and work toward meaningful change.

At CAFCO, we believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and included. No one should ever experience exclusion, intimidation, or violence.

As an organization, we are dedicated to promoting equality, inclusion, and diversity in all that we do. This includes listening, learning, engaging in open dialogue, and taking action when we encounter racism or discrimination. Together, we can help create a more just and compassionate community for all.

Separated Families

At CAFCO, we work with children and families from all types of family arrangements, including separated or co-parenting families. To ensure the best care for your child, we ask that both caregivers collaborate in the child’s best interest, keeping conflicts separate from therapy sessions.

Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where your child can thrive. Clear communication and cooperation from all caregivers help us achieve the best outcomes. To help us achieve that, we have developed a clear approach to working with separated families, which your clinician can tell you more about.
