Nadine Lamoureux, MSW, RSW

Social Worker

Hi, I’m Nadine.
One of the things I value most about therapy is that it creates space—space to make sense of what’s happening, explore what’s important to you, and discover new ways of moving forward. That’s the kind of space I hope to create for every person I work with.
I’m a bilingual Registered Social Worker. Since earning my Master of Social Work from the University of Ottawa in 2013, I’ve had the privilege of supporting youth, adults, and families through trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and many of life’s challenges. While my career began in children’s mental health at CHEO, my practice has evolved to include adults, and I genuinely enjoy working across the lifespan.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I work from a trauma-informed, attachment-based, and anti-oppressive perspective, tailoring therapy to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all approach, and I see therapy as a collaborative process where we’ll work together to find what feels most helpful for you.
I enjoy working with people navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent individuals and those who have experienced trauma.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to two energetic boys who keep life interesting (and keep me humble!). Parenting has taught me a lot about flexibility, resilience, and giving ourselves grace when things don’t go as planned. It has also deepened my appreciation for the many joys and challenges that families experience every day.
Therapeutic approaches I use include:
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT)
