Hi!

I’m Dr. Gabrielle Martinelli, a clinical psychologist who provides psychological services, including assessment and psychotherapy, to children, adolescents, and families in both English and French. I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Université de Montréal and earned my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Ottawa.

In therapy, I support youth and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADHD), emotion regulation difficulties, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), perfectionism, self-esteem difficulties, relationship difficulties with peers or family, and behavioural challenges. I also work collaboratively with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and support as they navigate their child’s needs, well-being, and development at home, at school, and in social settings.

Building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is central to my work. I aim to create a warm, compassionate, and collaborative space where children, adolescents, and families feel safe and supported to express themselves authentically while working toward goals that are meaningful to them. I approach therapy with flexibility and curiosity, adapting strategies in creative and developmentally appropriate ways to align with each client’s strengths, needs, and interests.

My practice is integrative and informed by developmental and attachment-based perspectives. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy staying active through running, strength training, and sports, as well as spending time with friends and family.
