Michela is a fourth-year student in the Clinical Psychology M.A.-Ph.D. program at the University of Ottawa. She provides evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents and families in French and English, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Michela has experience working with a diversity of clients as they face challenges related to anxiety, developmental trauma, mood, behavioural difficulties, parenting, learning, and neurodevelopment (e.g., ADHD, Language Disorder). She strives to provide her clients with a warm, caring, and collaborative environment. Michela’s approach to therapy is strengths-based and focuses on clients’ individual needs, drawing from an evidence-based and integrative framework.
Prior to working at CAFCO, Michela has had training experiences working with children, adolescents and families at the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Psychological Services and Research, and the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. Michela’s doctoral research aims to investigate the influence of parent-child relationships and homework help on children’s math achievement and anxiety towards math.
