Dr. Tracy Abarbanel, C.Psych.

Psychologist

Dr. Tracy Abarbanel works with children, adolescents, couples, and families who are experiencing a wide range of presenting difficulties, including behavioural problems, anxiety, depression, learning disabilities and ADHD, trauma, separation and divorce, and challenges of everyday life. Dr. Abarbanel looks at how an individual’s struggles and emotions affect relationships within the family, as well as family functioning. She also understands that these problems are a part of the family cycle and can get reinforced by that cycle. Working from an attachment framework, Dr. Abarbanel considers the system in which an individual is living when working through presenting difficulties.

Dr. Abarbanel is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Emotion-focused therapy, experiential, cognitive-behaviour, and psychodynamic therapies. She has a particular interest in attachment and trauma.
