Psychology

Anneke provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and families.  Anneke’s areas of practice include assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, attention difficulties, including Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), and behaviour problems. Anneke assesses and develops strategies to improve executive function, adaptive behaviour and social skills.  Anneke has over twenty years of experience in school psychology.  She works collaboratively with parents to find effective strategies for their child to succeed and thrive in school and in life. Anneke is also an experienced counsellor with children, adolescents and families, and is a trained  mediator.  Anneke focuses on strengths as well as needs in order to work together with the client and family to move toward goals set in a supportive and respectful climate. Anneke is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and is an executive member of the Ontario Association of Psychological Associates.  She earned degrees in Psychology from Queen’s University and from the University of Toronto.
