Whitney Taylor provides evidence-based psychological services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. She provides psychotherapy in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, interpersonal and adjustment difficulties, and perinatal health. She also conducts psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments.
In the context of a warm and trusting relationship, Whitney enjoys working collaboratively with her clients to build upon their existing strengths. She draws from a variety of therapeutic orientations, including cognitive-behavioural, acceptance and commitment, compassion-focused, and emotion-focused.
Whitney has received clinical training in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community mental health centres, and school boards. She holds a B. A. in Psychology from the University of Regina and a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She completed her pre-doctoral residency in Clinical Health Psychology in the Max Rady College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. While pursuing licensure in Ontario, Whitney is supervised by Drs. Julie Desjardins and Robyn Marquis, C. Psych.
