Sophie Fobert

Ph.D. Practicum Student in Clinical Psychology

Sophie is a third-year student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Ottawa. She provides evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, and families in English under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Sophie’s areas of practice include mood, anxiety, trauma, concerns related to neurodevelopment (e.g. autism, ADHD), as well as behavioural difficulties and parenting challenges. Sophie’s approach to therapy is integrative, strength-based, collaborative, and tailored to individual client needs.

Prior to working at CAFCO, Sophie has had clinical training experiences working with children, adolescents, adults, and families at the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Psychological Services and Research, and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Sophie’s doctoral research explores the cognitive mechanisms involved in young children’s social learning.
