Raymond McKie is a fifth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Ottawa. He provides psychological assessment and intervention services to children, adolescents, and families in English, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. His areas of practice and interest include mood, trauma, behavioural challenges, sexuality/gender, Tourette Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, learning disabilities, depression, and adjustment issues (e.g., school transitions, coping with divorce).
Prior to CAFCO, Raymond received training in a range of settings including the Centre for Psychological Services and Research at the University of Ottawa, the Ottawa Institute of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (OICBT), and the Centre for Change. Raymond applies evidence-based treatments including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT). He also has training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy for Trauma (EFTT). Raymond aims to provide an open, warm, and friendly environment in therapy through a culturally-sensitive, anti-oppressive, and diversity-informed lens.
