Mikaela is completing a Master’s degree at the University of Ottawa in a sensorimotor lab, with her research focusing on time perception. She is the founder and current president of uOttawa’s Students Advancing Brain Cancer Research club and volunteers her free time playing piano at the hospital. She completed her honours undergraduate degree at McMaster University in their Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour program. During her time there, she worked at the Hamilton Health Sciences and examined the efficacy of different therapies (CBT & neurofeedback) on the ABI population. Her career goal is to stay within academia and research and/or pursue a clinical neuropsychology degree.
