Julia Ryan

Ph.D. Graduand in Clinical Psychology

Julia Ryan is a PhD level therapist that will be graduating from the Clinical Psychology program at University of Ottawa in the fall of 2019, with specialization in children, adolescents, and families. Julia has experience with assessing and treating a range of psychological disorders, including anxiety, depression, ADHD and other learning related difficulties, as well as intellectual and developmental delay. Julia’s practice centers around the idea that youth’s functioning and development is influenced by both their own individual characteristics, as well as their family and school life. As such her treatment goals often include working with youth to better develop personal skills such as emotional regulation, communication, and social skills, as well as working with parents and consulting with school teams to enhance environmental supports, promote positive adult relationships, and wrap-around support for the youth.

Julia is currently seeking registration at this time, and is presently working under supervision of Dr. Julie Desjardins.
