Heather Woltman provides psychological services (i.e., assessment and treatment) to children, adolescents, and families in English, under the supervision of Dr. Julie Desjardins, C. Psych. and Dr. Caroline Sullivan, C.Psych. Heather has a special interest in working with individuals and families experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, self-confidence, disruptive behaviours, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and peer/family relationships.  She also conducts psycho-educational and diagnostic assessments.

Heather’s approach to therapy is collaborative and integrative. She prizes the importance of fostering a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients. Heather primarily works from a cognitive-behavioural and systemic perspective, while incorporating elements of her training and experience in other empirically supported treatments (e.g., emotion-focused, interpersonal, dialectical-behavioural therapies).

Heather has trained in a variety of hospital, school, and community-based settings in Ottawa. She completed her pre-doctoral residency at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (2015-2016). Heather holds a BA (Hons.) in Psychology from Queen’s University, and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
